Chocolate sculptures in Stockholm
The chocolate sculpture competition this year at the Chocolate Festival in Stockholm, Nordiska Museet, was themed Hat creations. Here you can see the seven contestants.
All sculptures are completely edible and must consist of at least 80 % chocolate. The rest was made up by eggs, sugar, marzipan, nougat and other edible things.
The winner was Team Magnus Johanssons Bageri och Konditori. The hat was hand made by Anna Björlin, Julia Bergstedt and Petrus Jacobsson.
I voted for the wonderful interpretation of Pettson and Findus, from a Swedish children´s book series. Maybe I was influenced by my two kids who love them, as do I. But it wasn´t an easy choice.
Among the other contestant were several patisseries and the professional University for bakers and confectioners in Kristianstad, who handed in 4 sculptures. Which sculpture belonged to whom I don´t know, but they were all amazing.
